About the Chef
For The Grill Of It, LLC is owned and operated by Bill Harris.
The business is based in Vancouver, Washington and was established in 2004.
This is a second career for me. I worked for over 30 years for a public agency in Vancouver, Washington retiring in 2003. After taking a year off, I entered a Culinary Program in Vancouver, British Columbia. After completing the program, I started my catering business.
My interest in cooking didn’t start after retirement, one of the first meals I remember preparing was chunky peanut butter French toast with maple syrup. It was definitely an after school favorite.
Whether it was hanging around the kitchen when my grandmother was baking cake so I could lick the spoon, or helping my mother make biscuits and tasting the seasoning flavors my dad created for the meats he was preparing, I have enjoyed cooking.
I take great pleasure in experimenting in pairing food with beer and wine to create enjoyable dining experience.
I look forward and welcome the opportunity in working assisting you in planning and developing your next food event.
When I am not cooking or trying new things in the kitchen, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my wife.
